More than 200 years ago, in 1818, at Viña Santa Rita, a bold woman changed the course of Chile’s history. Paula Jaraquemada opened the doors of her cellars to shelter 120 soldiers fighting for the country’s independence.
In a gesture that defied both societal norms and the dangers of the time, she offered them hope, protection… and a reminder that sometimes, breaking with tradition is the path to freedom.
Discover the essence of freedom and strength in every glass!
In 120, we defied traditions by bringing Paula Jaraquemada back to life through Artificial Intelligence, transporting her from 1818 to the present day.

Viña Santa Rita
About the Winery
Viña Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Don Domingo Fernández Concha, a prominent businessman and public figure of the time. Don Domingo introduced fine French grape varieties to the privileged soils of the Maipo Valley and incorporated specialised machinery. This, along with hiring winemakers from France, allowed him to produce wines with techniques and results far superior to those traditionally achieved in Chile, changing the way wines were made in our country.
In the more than 135 years that Viña Santa Rita has been crafting its wines, it has gained extensive experience that is undoubtedly reflected in the quality of its products—quality that remains unchanged over time and continues to surprise consumers in every corner of the world..
